Delete your account
You can delete your 480Data account, and everything PIC keeps for you, yourself, at any time.
In PIC
- Open Settings, then 480Data account.
- Tap Delete account…. PIC lists what will be deleted.
- Type DELETE and tap Delete my account. On an iPhone or iPad signed in with Apple, iOS asks you to confirm with Apple once more, so that PIC can also end its Sign in with Apple link.
On the web
Sign in at 480data.com/account.html, go to Delete your account at the bottom of the page, type DELETE and press Delete my account. You don't need PIC for this.
If you can't sign in, e-mail support@480data.com from the address of your account and we will delete it for you.
What is deleted
- Your 480Data account and its sign-in, with Google, Amazon or Apple.
- Your hangar: your aircraft, their settings and POH figures, and the aircraft you shared or were given.
- Your POH documents and photos, and what PIC read from them.
- Your own checklists and pilot settings, and the flights you sent to PIC.
- Your devices' notification registrations, the second display link key, and your devices' crash reports and usage records.
- Your PIC subscription's records and the list of devices using it.
- On 480data.com: your GNS 480 database aircraft, their data cards and your download history, and your trainer and Transition Course progress.
Deletion happens at once and can't be undone. If you sign in again later, you start with a new, empty account.
What is kept
- Payment records. Stripe, which processes 480Data's payments, keeps its records of your payments and invoices, as tax and accounting law requires. 480Data does not keep them.
- Fuel prices you reported stay for other pilots, no longer linked to you, until they expire 180 days after you reported them.
- A deletion record: that an account was deleted and when, without your address or name.
- That your address has had PIC's free trial, so a new account at the same address has no second trial.
- What is on your devices and cards: the charts and data PIC downloaded stay on your device until you uninstall PIC, and databases already written to a data card stay on it.
A subscription that renews
While a GNS 480 database subscription or a PIC subscription is still set to renew, the account can't be deleted: cancel it first on your account page with Manage billing / cancel (or, for a subscription bought in an app store, in that store's subscription settings), then delete the account. Any paid time left ends with the account; payments are non-refundable.
